Is your pet's hair taking over your laundry?

When you do your laundry, you expect clean, fresh clothes.  But when you have pets running around in your house, you can expect your laundry to be ridden with pet hair, and sometimes lingering odors!  Here are some tips to help get rid of pet hair & odors on your clothes.

First, it's important to frequently empty the lint catcher in your dryer.  This is a no-brainer! Not only is it important in terms of reducing fire hazard; it also can aid in reducing pet fur after drying your clothes!

Next, you'll want to put your clothes in the dryer (before you wash them) and set it to a very low heat cycle for 10 minutes.  When the cycle is done, put your clothes in the washer and wash as usual.  Add a fourth to a half cup of vinegar to your usual laundry detergent.  This addition will help remove the hair by loosening the fabric.  Run it through your usual washing cycle, and then put your clothes in the dryer again.  Using things like dryer sheets or dryer balls can also aid in removing pet hair from your clothes.

We carry Skout’s Honor Laundry Booster to further remove pet odor from your clothes (or from their clothes and bedding)!  Add this solution to your normal laundry detergent, and your clothes will smell even fresher than before.
